I'm telling you this because it's depressing to see how many people come, click on the feature picture and don't click on any other picture. If I want gratification I suppose I should sign back up on Flickr and continue on G+ because I find SmugMug socially dead compared to those two sites.
I am currently using a Nkon D5100 and Sony NEX-5 but as you can see when checking out any particular photo details, I will use whatever camera is around including someone else's. Have used mostly Minolta or Sony cameras in the past.
Intelligent comments and critiques are quite welcome and encouraged.

A Night On Newbury Street : Attended Photoshop World in Boston in March of 2009 and made a weekend of it afterwards. After dinner at Abe & Louie's, we walked back to the Park Plaza via Newbury St.. As you can see, there were many interesting "residents" there. Most of the pictures have had very little editing.

Provincetown - Anytime : Although some might put their Ptown pics into a Cape Cod gallery, I feel that Ptown has enough to offer to stand on its own as a separate gallery. A Day In Bethlehem, NH : I have been camping at the KOA @ Twin Mtn for a number of years now and I have passed through Bethlehem many times on my way to Littleton or wherever. I finally decided to stop for a while and take a look around. Most of the time, when you're walking around, you're either going uphill or downhill. NOTE: I was visiting on the last week of September. Kind of a limbo time. Fall colors are not peaking and the summer is over. It is strangely quiet except for the guys who have been out tarring roads and pull into town in their work trucks. There are 2 golf courses prominently located along the main drag. When I see Maplewood, I can't get Caddyshack out of my mind. Loved Maia Papaya's but didn't have the opportunity to try any other eateries. Rosa Flamingos will be my next conquest. Maybe they'll hire me - I make a pretty good meat sauce as well as pesto! ALSO: Bethlehem is the summertime home to a large Hasidic population. Note the changing skies during the 4 hours I was there in town. The movie theater was the first picture and the town hall and church were my last.

Where I Work - What I Do : Pictures here represent the buildings of, or work I do for, Christmas Tree Shops, a division of Bed Bath & Beyond. I have now worked at CTS for over 30 years. Ten years as a store manager, fourteen years as a district merchandising something-or-other and now working on merchandising documentation including taking and/or editing pictures for merchandising purposes. I also collect and combine the material supplied by the buyers to create seasonal "kickoffs" for different seasons/seasonal themes each year. These Kickoffs offer the retail operations a view into the upcoming seasons with product pictures and purchase information. I also attempt to maintain up-to-date information and pictures on the company intranet site - something that's not easy in the ever-changing business of Christmas Tree Shops. [Just an update based on the pics below: we no longer do tv advertising of this nature and I haven't done ad shoot backdrops in quite a while.]

Longwood Gardens : Originally I had this gallery named for the month/year I took my pics at Longwood. Since then, I have taken a membership with Longwood Gardens and will be continuing to shoot there. Hope you enjoy the beauty of the gardens that Pierre S. du Pont created. Today, a not-for-profit corporation with a Board of Trustees oversees the successful year-round operation of the Gardens. Plimoth Plantation - late 60's : I worked at Plimoth Plantation throughout high school and college, 1967-1974. This was the best job I ever had working with many wonderful people. I earned $1.60/hr my first year. (Gas was about 25-28 cents/gal at Corvini's in North Plymouth.) Admission for adults was $1.25. I was a costumed "guide" although I didn't guide anyone anywhere except down the path of history. I worked predominantly demonstrating musket-firing and wood-cutting. Enjoyed doing the late shift in the summer when I could go to Plymouth Beach in the morning and walk or run out to the point at low tide. Anyway, these are the pictures taken by a high school kid who loved his job and the people he worked with. Don't get into what was historically accurate, blah, blah, blah. This isn't about that. Hope you enjoy some of the info with the pics as well. - Mark
